How We Work

At GraceWell Counseling, our work is grounded in evidence-based methods that are proven to help people feel more connected, more resilient, and more empowered in their relationships and lives.

Whether you’re coming to therapy as an individual or a couple, we tailor our approach to your specific needs. We draw from a range of modalities to help you explore, understand, and move forward with greater clarity and compassion.

Some of the methods we use:

Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)
Supports individuals and couples in understanding the emotional patterns that shape connection, distance, and conflict.

 Internal Family Systems (IFS)
Helps you get to know the different parts of yourself—especially those that feel stuck, reactive, or overwhelmed—so you can move forward with more self-understanding.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
Focuses on building awareness of unhelpful thoughts and behaviors, offering tools to create more helpful patterns in your day-to-day life.

The Gottman Method
Used with couples to strengthen communication, rebuild trust, and deepen emotional intimacy through research-informed strategies.

Mindfulness and Somatic Practices
Encourages greater presence, emotional regulation, and body awareness—especially helpful in managing stress and anxiety.

Therapy isn’t one-size-fits-all. We’ll explore what’s going on beneath the surface and also focus on practical tools you can take with you—both in your relationship and in your everyday life.
