Frequently Asked Questions
Is virtual therapy effective?
-
Yes. It depends on the person, but research shows that virtual therapy can be just as effective as in-person sessions for many concerns, including couples therapy, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and ADHD. Many clients find it easier to be open and consistent in a familiar environment.
What times/hours do you offer therapy?
-
Hours and times are flexible, with the goal of making scheduling easier for you. Sessions are typically offered from 12pm- 5pm on Monday's, 9 am- 7:30 pm Tuesday- Thursday, and 9am- 12pm on Fridays. If there are other times that work better for you, just let us know and we can work around your schedule as best as we can.
Do I need to live in a specific location to work with you?
-
Yes — due to licensing laws, therapy clients must be located in Virginia at the time of each session.
What do I need for virtual sessions?
-
Just a quiet, private space and a stable internet connection. A laptop or tablet is ideal, but phone sessions can also be used if needed or more convenient for you.
Is my privacy protected?
-
Absolutely. All sessions are conducted via a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform to protect your confidentiality and personal information. You will receive a new link every week to join the call.
