Hi, I'm Isabella, the founder of GraceWell Counseling. I'm a licensed social worker passionate about helping people find deeper, more connected experiences. I focus my work on couples therapy but also work with individuals, supporting clients in navigating anxiety, low self-esteem, perfectionism, and ADHD.

I bring a calm and curious presence to the room as well as a deep belief in the power of therapy to shift the way we see ourselves and relate to others. I am collaborative, compassionate and direct. I believe therapy should be both emotional and practical—offering space for reflection but also tools for change. I draw from evidence-based approaches like EFT, CBT, the Gottman Method, and IFS and always tailor sessions and approaches to who you are and what you need.

I am based in Charlottesville, VA where I work remotely with clients across Virginia. Outside of sessions, I love going on long walks in nature, reading, practicing yoga and other forms of movement, and cooking with my partner.

Alanah Horning, LCSW

Hi! I’m Alanah, a licensed therapist with GraceWell. I’m passionate about mental health care and with over a decade in the field, I have seen first hand the value of what an inclusive, supportive space can do for making sense of your experience and growing as an individual. My approach is warm, compassionate, and guided by curiosity. My hope as your therapist is to equip you with tools and insight so that you are more empowered to make real change outside of the therapy room.

I draw from multiple approaches including CBT, DBT and IFS and work with adults navigating anxiety, depression, anger, and stress-related concerns. I also support individuals navigating interpersonal relationship challenges, low self-esteem, and life transitions. And if you’re a college or graduate student, you have found the right therapist! The life transition to college is difficult and I enjoy navigating all of the stressors that come with being in school.

I’m based in Charlottesville, Virginia, and provide therapy virtually to clients throughout the state. Outside of sessions, I enjoy painting or exploring other creative outlets, cheering at UVA sporting events, taking long walks, or spending time with my cat.

I’d be honored to walk alongside you as you navigate whatever season of life you’re in.
